Another Key Addition to Apogee Networks' World-Class Management Team

Apogee Networks, Inc., recognized as one of the industry's most innovative provider of IP Content and Usage-Based Billing Solutions, announces the appointment of Andrew R. Burroughs as Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager, Applications Service Provider Business. In his new position, Burroughs will assume responsibility for directing and managing all of Apogee Networks' marketing, corporate communications/public relations, and overall responsibility for Apogee Networks' ASP business unit.

Burroughs, formerly Vice President & General Manager of Teleglobe Communications Corporation (NYSE, TSE:TGO), a world leader in telecommunications that develops and supplies global connectivity services to Internet service providers, carriers, multinational corporations and broadcast customers worldwide brings over sixteen (16) years of experience in working with marketing, sales, mergers, acquisitions and alliances. Mr. Burroughs will substantially enhance Apogee Networks marketing and public relations strategies to become a leading provider in the Service Provider and Enterprise markets.

Prior to Teleglobe, as the Senior Vice President, Operations & Officer of Telezone Corporation, Burroughs rolled out a new wireless network in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and negotiated and secured a $60 million strategic investment from Bell Atlantic and Airtouch.

As Vice President, Global Marketing of Sprint International (NYSE:FON), Burroughs increased company revenues $300 million annually through the introduction of new products and the entry of Sprint into new markets. He was also Vice President, Operations, for Sprint's joint venture with Cable & Wireless in laying the first trans-Atlantic private fiber optic cable system. Burroughs began his career in communications as Product Manager, Billing Services at Pacific Bell in San Francisco in 1983.

Burroughs holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with High Honors. Burroughs is also a Fulbright Scholar.
