), a leading provider of digital audio amplification solutions, today announced the release of the DDX-8001 Controller, the company's fourth generation digital amplifier See Class D amplifier.  controller. The DDX-8001 Controller combines an advanced digital audio processor with Apogee's patented DDX DDx

The DDX-8001 supports Apogee's full line of high-efficiency DDX Power Devices with solutions from 15 watts to 100 watts per channel. The device is pin compatible with the DDX-8000 Controller IC enabling customers to quickly upgrade their existing products to take full advantage of the DDX-8001's enhanced feature set. The DDX-8001 is priced at $4.98 in 1000 piece quantities. Engineering samples are available now. Delivery of production quantities is expected in the first quarter of 2004. An evaluation board will be available in January 2004 with an intuitive graphical user interface graphical user interface (GUI)
