) announced it has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.065 per share, payable November 21, 2005 to shareholders of record November 7, 2005. The dividend of $0.065 per share represents an increase of 4 percent from the previous quarterly dividend of $0.0625 per share. The company has approximately 27.8 million shares outstanding.

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (www.apog.com), headquartered in Minneapolis, is a world leader in technologies involving the design and development of value-added glass products, services and systems. The company is organized in three segments:

--Architectural products and services companies design, engineer, fabricate, install, maintain and renovate the walls of glass and windows comprising the outside skin of commercial and institutional buildings.

--Large-scale optical technologies segment consists of a developer and producer of high technology glass and acrylic acrylic, artificial fiber made from a special group of vinyl compounds, primarily acrylonitrile. Acrylic fibers are thermoplastic (i.e., soften when heated, reharden upon cooling), have low moisture regain, are low in density, and can be made into bulky fabrics.  that enhance the visual performance of products for the picture framing, display and imaging industries.
