Apogee Appoints Doug Currie VP, Exploration.

TORONTO -- Apogee Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:APE) has recently appointed Mr. Doug Currie as Vice President, Exploration to supervise the exploration activities of the company.

Mr. Currie, a geologist with over 30 years successful mineral exploration experience in North and South America, Australia and Africa, has been associated with Apogee since 2004, providing independent geological consulting services to the Company. His experience in management of diverse mineral exploration projects in developing countries and his record of discovery, definition and development of several precious metals deposits, particularly in Australia where he was Exploration Manager for Homestake Gold of Australia and Plutonic Resources, will be of significant benefit to Apogee as the Company's projects advance towards resource definition and development during the forthcoming year. Mr. Currie is also President of Gwynva Resources Management Inc., a private geological consultancy, and President & CEO of Valencia Ventures Inc, a TSX Venture Exchange listed company involved in gold and precious metals exploration in Australia, Chile and the USA.

Apogee now employs 12 Bolivian graduate geologists working under the guidance of Mr. Currie and Exploration Advisor David O'Connor.
