"US commercial sales of Apligraf exceeded 2800 units in the second quarter of this year, reflecting a sustained increase in average monthly sales compared with previous quarters," said Philip M. Laughlin, President and Chief Executive Officer.

"Sales development continues to be affected by the lack of standardized standardized

n.pr department in the U.S. agency of Health and Human Services responsible for the oversight of the Medicaid and Medicare benefit programs, including guidelines, payment, and coverage policies.
on the Medicare reimbursement process for use of Apligraf by office-based physicians. This communication clarifies that product cost reimbursement for a `tissue engineered skin graft' such as Apligraf is in addition to the reimbursement for the medical procedure of applying the product. This communication eliminates confusion that the reimbursement for the medical procedure is also intended to cover the cost of the Apligraf applied. We are now focussed on gaining a standardized level of reimbursement for Apligraf."
