Apdex Alliance Grows to 15 with Addition of Netli and Symphoniq; Service-Provider and Start-up Both Realize Value in 'One' Number for Enterprise Customers.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The Application Performance Index (Apdex) Alliance announced today that two new companies, Netli and Symphoniq Corporation, have joined the group, which debuted in March 2005. The Alliance, now comprising 15 companies, was formed as an open movement to ensure Apdex, an index that measures user satisfaction with the performance of enterprise applications, provides high value to the largest possible audience.

Apdex Alliance Founder Peter Sevcik and president of NetForecast, an Alliance member, says the addition of Symphoniq and Netli to the Apdex Alliance enhances the balanced membership representing the two pillars of application performance: measurement and improvement.

Netli's addition to the Alliance rounds out its service-provider category since Apdex's launch in March, according to according to

"The company's measurement and reporting service, NetliView, is a valuable tool for managing performance and further differentiates Apdex."

Furthermore, the addition of Apdex to NetliView is a natural evolution of the product from tactical service tracking to strategic business management.

"Netli's Fortune 500 enterprise customers are focused on monitoring and improving application performance in a systematic way. This is why we support the Alliance, as it establishes standard measurement methodologies that are based on the most important metric, user satisfaction," said Willie M. Tejada, vice president of Netli marketing and business development. "We look forward to working with the other members of the Apdex Alliance to define a performance measurement framework by focusing on how IT investments contribute to clearly defined business objectives."

Symphoniq is the youngest company to join the Apdex Alliance, Sevcik says. However, Hon Hon abbr (= honourable, honorary) → en títulos  Wong, its founder, has a prodigious pro·di·gious

"Symphoniq is positioned to implement Apdex in a comprehensive way that will be able to provide end-to-end visibility into the sources and causes of sub-par performance," Sevcik added. A key differentiation with Apdex is that a single number is reported, which provides clear understanding of user satisfaction levels.

"Understanding the relationship between application performance and user satisfaction is critical to prevent end-user complaints, or, when users do complain, to resolve problems effectively," said Symphoniq CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
