It was founded in Dec., 1958, by manufacturer Robert Welch and named after John Birch, an American intelligence officer killed by Communists in China (Aug., 1945). is realizing that we are nearing the end of our Republic as we know it. Mr. Jasper's statement that if Bush and Congress allow another mass amnesty to take place, "we could be looking at the beginning of the end of our nation" is exactly the sentiment of most of us "in the know" these days. An amnesty will surely be our demise, and turn our streets into a scene from the evening news featuring any third-world country imaginable i·mag·i·na·ble adj. Conceivable in the imagination: imaginable exploits. i·mag . What I fear most is that Americans will retreat to the false security of their middle class homes and complain as their world goes up in smoke, maybe literally. RANDY J.
