Apache Closes 2005 with Sustained Growth and Profitability; Company Adds Seven New Customers in Q4.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Apache Design Solutions, the technology leader in physical power integrity solutions for system-on-chip (SoC) designs, today announced its twelfth consecutive record quarter and a tripling of the company's 2005 bookings compared to the previous year. The fourth quarter marked another significant milestone for Apache as seven new customers in a single quarter adopted its power integrity solutions worldwide, including Apache's first customer in China. New Q4 business also included a multi-year, multi-million dollar initial purchase. Apache maintained its track record of a 100% renewal rate with nine customers renewing in Q4, including a multi-year expansion order from a leading semiconductor company. Apache also achieved its first full quarter of profitability in Q4, based on ratable That which can be appraised, assessed, or adjusted through the application of a formula or percentage.

"2005 was a pivotal year for Apache," said Andrew Yang, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Apache. "By achieving profitability, we have proven our long-term stability The long-term stability of an oscillator, the degree of uniformity of frequency over time, when the frequency is measured under identical environmental conditions, such as supply voltage, load, and temperature.  as a company. The strength of our business will enable us to expand our investment in the development and support of our technology, allowing us to provide solutions for the upcoming design challenges."

Apache has been delivering silicon proven dynamic power integrity solutions to leading semiconductor companies for the past three and one-half years. Their continuous growth is due to their commitment to customers in addressing one of their top design concerns; the unique power challenges of the nanometer era. With the release of two new products in 2005, PsiWinder and RedHawk-EV, Apache maintains its leadership position in this critical market with their dynamic power closure signoff solution.

"Apache's rate of consistent monotonic monotonic - In domain theory, a function f : D -> C is monotonic (or monotone) if

"It is driven by a healthy balance of renewal orders, expansion orders from existing customers and competitive wins resulting in new customers. These key wins demonstrate the maturity and robustness of Apache's solutions and our continuing ability to deliver the best-in-class solution for one of the customer's most critical design challenges."

About RedHawk

RedHawk is a full-chip Vectorless Dynamic(TM) physical power integrity solution for SoC power closure sign-off of 130nm, 90nm and 65nm designs. Certified by TSMC's 5.0 and 6.0 Reference Flow and correlated with silicon measurements and SPICE, RedHawk addresses dynamic power issues such as simultaneous switching output (SSO See single sign-on and CSO.

RedHawk enables designers to reach power closure sign-off for high performance SoCs, including those utilizing advanced low-power design techniques such as leakage current control, MTCMOS (power-gating), multiple voltage domains and multiple threshold transistors.

About PsiWinder

PsiWinder is a Spice-accurate critical paths and clock tree timing sign-off solution that considers the concurrent effects of signal integrity (crosstalk noise) and power integrity (dynamic voltage drop and ground bounce In electronic engineering, ground bounce is a phenomenon associated with transistor switching where the gate voltage can appear to be less than the local ground potential, causing the unstable operation of a logic gate. ) on the chip's timing. PsiWinder is tightly integrated with RedHawk, a silicon-proven dynamic power integrity solution and Nspice, a high capacity and performance true-Spice simulator. PsiWinder delivers the ease-of-use and performance of a cell-based flow with the accuracy at the transistor-level. With PsiWinder, designers gain much more realistic view of the setup and hold time violations in the critical paths, as well as clock skew and jittering jit·ter
