 to take advantage of the power of Ada," said Greg Gicca, ObjectAda product manager. "With the complexities of today's large software systems, the ability to develop key components of applications in a safe, engineering-oriented language like Ada, even where there is a desire to make use of existing components that are written in another language, has become an imperative."

A pioneer in multi-language development, ObjectAda has now gone several steps further in making it easier to develop powerful applications that include components of other languages including Java and C++.

Multi-language features found in the new 7.2 release include:
- "Smart Editing" with syntax coloring for several languages, including Java,
C++, FORTRAN and HTML

- Integrated AdaJava compiler, compiling Ada source files to 100% Pure Java
Byte Code

- Automatic access to all off-the-shelf Java class libraries through the AdaJNI
binding generator

- Object-file and debug symbol compatibility with Microsoft Visual C++

- Ability to launch third-party compilers, debuggers and other tools through an
integrated customized tool feature

In addition to these new multi-language features, the v7.2 release of ObjectAda also provides a wealth of new productivity and convenience enhancements including: an updated look-and-feel modeled after Microsoft's Visual Studio, customizable toolbars and accelerator accelerator: see particle accelerator.
