Aonix announced today availability of the first JS2E-class VM with a royalty-free licensing model.

Under the new model, PERC is licensed royalty-free by architecture with a single annual fee covering developer seats, maintenance and support, and deployment rights. Customers can enjoy royalty-free development -- an option available only from clean-room Java vendors -- in embedded software, and to easily and economically standardize on PERC for embedded Java technology.

The Suite products include royalty-free deployment rights and the Corporate Developer Suite adds multiple architectures, onsite consulting or training, and a seat on the company's customer advisory board which offers early access to products, and meets regularly to review road-maps and provide valuable feedback on product additions and enhancements.
