Aon announces senior appointment.


CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 1996--Aon Corporation today announced that its global insurance brokerage services and consulting arm, Aon Group, has appointed Joan E. Steel as senior vice president - corporate communications.

In this newly created position, Steel will be responsible for the development of Aon Group's communications strategy and will manage all communication activities including marketing, media relations, public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most , employee communications and advertising. Prior to assuming this position, Steel served as vice president - financial relations for Aon Corporation for more than seven years. She will remain a corporate vice president of Aon Corporation.
