Aon Announces Convertible Debt Offering.

) today announced that it intends to offer in a private placement, subject to market and other conditions, $200 million in aggregate principal amount of convertible debentures due 2012 in an offering to qualified institutional buyers. The interest rate, conversion rate and offering price are to be determined by negotiations between Aon and the initial purchasers of the debentures. The offering is expected to take place on November 4, 2002. Aon intends to grant the initial purchasers a 13-day option to purchase an additional $30 million in aggregate principal amount of convertible debentures.
