FORMER Rose of Tralee Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain is Ireland's sexiest TV star.

The Co Mayo presenter has topped a survey beating some of the country's hottest talent.

Podge And Rodge star Caroline Morahan took second place while her former Ballydung predecessor Lucy Kennedy is at No8.

Bilingual beauties featured heavily on the list with Sharon Ni Bheolain, Siun Nic Gearailt and Grainne Seoige all making the Top 10.

Mum-of-eight Miriam O'Callaghan claims the No5 position while newlyengaged actress Amy Huberman was voted No9. Stunning actress Orla Brady and weather girl Lisa Burke also made the grade.

Aoibhinn, who has featured on The Panel, Celebrity Bainisteoir and No Frontiers, said: "It's wonderful. It was actually my parents who told me I was nominated.

"And, no, I didn't organise a campaign to get people to vote for me." However, one campaign that did pay off was launched by Stephen Byrne who won the Hottest TV Male category.

The teen presenter of YouTube video Apartment RED ran a winning multimedia campaign. He said: "I made a video that had thousands of younger viewers, who then went and voted on rteguide.ie." Stephen beat Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers who came in second place.

Handsome presenter Craig Doyle took third place while rugby pundit Brent Pope was a surprise fourth place winner.

Winning Streak and kids TV hero Aidan Power was No5 followed by Galway-man Daithi O Se and The Clinic actor Aidan Turner.

He's RTE's top newshound and now Charlie Bird has been named one of the hottest men - he even beat presenter John McGuire and Hollywood heartthrob Gabriel Byrne.

Girls Aloud cutie Cheryl Cole captured our hearts on the X Factor and has now been crowned the hottest international female.

Despite being one of the world's most desirable women, the 25-yearold singer is still insecure about her body.

She said: "I have to watch my weight and really put myself through it." Grey's Anatomy beauty Katherine Heigl was second while Desperate Housewives Eva Longoria Parker claims third spot.

Pregnant Dancing On Ice presenter Holly Willoughby, Myleene Klass, Evangeline Lilly and Nigella Lawson all made the Top10.

Also making the hotlist was Corrie star Samia Smith, Hayden Panettiere and Anna Friel.

Sexy Patrick Dempsey, who sends temperatures racing as Dr Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy, was voted hottest international male.

Asked how he copes with the tag, he said: "You just have to be yourself, and not worry so much. But there are a lot of sexy people out there."

House actor Huge Laurie is in second place, while the face of Walkers crisps Gary Lineker is in third. And Prison Break hunk Wentworth Miller is fourth followed by former Big Brother stars Dermot O'Leary and Russell Brand. At 56, William Petersen may be the oldest member of the Top10 but the CSI star beat Lost actors Josh Holloway and Matthew Fox.

Just scraping in the Top10 is Josh Duhamel, who graced the small screen as Danny McCoy in TV3's now cancelled Las Vegas.
