Anzex Resources Ltd wishes to announce the following status report on its Longwoods New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. platinum project. The first hole of the initial three-hole diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral program was terminated in sulfides at 620 metres due to technical difficulties. The strata intersected, in what is termed the eastern magnetic domain, confirms the existence of the expected intrusive sequence. The full significance of strata and sulphides intersected will be determined by further detailed examination and analyses. Previous exploration has put the Longwoods in a similar category to that of the Bushveldt and Stillwater, which are primarily low-sulfide intrusive systems. The second diamond hole in the Longwoods program is presently drilling ahead at 489 metres. This hole is being drilled in the western magnetic zone some 2.5 kilometres to the north-west of hole no. 1. A third hole is sited about 2 kilometres west of hole no. 2 onthe downward slopes of the western magnetic zone to test the continuity of strata down-dip from hole no. 2. No assay results have been received to date and it is intended that the current three-hole program will be completed and evaluated prior to the announcement of results. Meanwhile, an initial six-hole reverse-circulation/diamond drilling program is about to commence on the Mosquito mosquito (məskē`tō), small, long-legged insect of the order Diptera, the true flies. The females of most species have piercing and sucking mouth parts and apparently they must feed at least once upon mammalian blood before their eggs can Hill project in north Queensland North Queensland is the northern part of the state of Queensland in Australia. Queensland is a massive state, larger than most countries, and the Tropical northern part of it has been historically remote and underdeveloped, resulting in a distinctive regional character and , Australia. The target of this program is an indicated system of massive gold-copper sulfide sulfide, chemical compound containing sulfur and one other element or sulfur and a radical. Sulfides may be salts or esters of hydrogen sulfide, H2S, or may be formed directly, e.g., by heating a metal with sulfur. deposits over a four kilometre strike. The program is due for completion by late August.
