WITH reference to David Lloyd David Lloyd may refer to:
  • Dave Lloyd (cyclist), Former Professional and Olympic Cyclist and now Cycling Coach
  • David Lloyd (botanist), New Zealand plant scientist and victim of poisoning scandal
 (Viewpoints, August 3), regarding charity letters emanating from PO Box numbers in Ross on Wye, I received a letter some time ago from PO Box 107, Ross on Wye.

It told me that I had won a prize in a competition of which I had no knowledge.

I ignored it but it was followed by a string of reminders which became increasingly insistent in·sis·tent

2. Demanding attention or a response: insistent hunger.

, as though the correspondents were chasing a bad debt.

 reply, I retained some of the correspondence because of its hectoring tone.

It occurred to me that I might one day hear of other people harassed by this agency.

It would be interesting to know whether there are many others who have been pestered from box numbers in Ross and, in particular, what has been the experience of those who have responded to the letters.

I doubt that it will have been good.
