So, Anupam planned to host the premiere of his first film even though he earned rave reviews for his performance. He was just 28 when he played the role.

"The day when this film was released, I was standing outside to know if the audience can recognise me after the movie as I was 28 then and played the role of a 65-year-old man. Everyone passed by without recognising me. I thought of taking revenge and therefore hosted the premiere of this film so that people can now recognise me," he said.

Anupam re-lived this moment with his co-stars from the film Rohini Hattangadi and Soni Razdan and director Mahesh Mahesh (m·hāshˑ),
