Location The Parr Hall and Pyramid Arts Centre are located in the Cultural quarter of Warrington town centre, in Palmyra Square. , Warrington, was to be dismantled and moved to Sheffield Cathedral as the first stage of a proposed refurbishment of the hall. But although councillors have given the pounds 1.2m overhaul the go ahead, they have decided to leave the organ in place while its future is considered. Hundreds of people opposed the removal of the organ, including members of the Warrington Male Voice Choir Warrington Male Voice Choir is one of Great Britain’s oldest choirs, tracing its formation to 1898. During its long history the choir has travelled widely and has performed in many famous concert halls and cathedrals throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe and Canada. and its patron, former Beirut hostage Terry Waite. |
