PVA PVA polyvinyl alcohol. packs are now available from InHealth Technologies. PVA packs can provide an excellent breeding ground for bacterial growth. Our Bac-T packs are made with a safe, patented material that inhibits the growth of the following bacteria for up to 7 days: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, Epidermidis, S aureus, Yersinia Yersinia A genus of bacteria in the Enterobacteriaceae family. The bacteria appear as gram-negative rods and share many physiological properties with related Escherichia coli. Of the 11 species of Yersinia, Y. pestis, Y. enterocolitica, and Y. entercolitica, Serratia mecrecescens, and Bacillus subtilis. Bac-T Nasal, Sinus, and Epistaxis epistaxis /ep·i·stax·is/ (-stak´sis) nosebleed; hemorrhage from the nose, usually due to rupture of small vessels overlying the anterior part of the cartilaginous nasal septum. ep·i·stax·is n. packs are extremely hydrophilic and fast wicking, absorbing up to 25 times their weight in fluids. All packs are double-compressed for ease of insertion and can be trimmed for a custom fit. Bac-T's unique surface promotes easy removal. |
