Anti-terrorism vehicle goes on tour. (Tech Talk).


A new vehicle for teams responding to nuclear, biological or chemical attacks is currently touring the country. The NBC NBC
 in full National Broadcasting Co.

Major U.S. commercial broadcasting company. It was formed in 1926 by RCA Corp., General Electric Co. (GE), and Westinghouse and was the first U.S. company to operate a broadcast network.

The truck comes with the necessary equipment for a team of four first responders. It provides protection, detection, decontamination decontamination /de·con·tam·i·na·tion/ (de?kon-tam-i-na´shun) the freeing of a person or object of some contaminating substance, e.g., war gas, radioactive material, etc.

The NBC Cruiser is a Ford F-550 four-wheel drive diesel truck with a four-door crew cab. Among the technologies installed are satellite communications, remote meteorological stations, downwind hazard computer connections and emergency warning light systems.
