Anti-social behaviour zone.YOUTHS will not be allowed to gather in a large section of a Merseyside town. Knowsley Council and Merseyside Police Merseyside Police is the Home Office police force responsible for policing Merseyside in North West England. The force area is 647 square kilometres with a population of around 1.5 million. At present the force has 4,466 police officers plus over 2,000 police staff. have introduced of a designated area in Huyton. Police officers will be using powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act which means officers can move on youths who gather in groups of two or more in the Seth Powell Way area. Those who return within 24 hours can be arrested. The designated area comes into effect on Thursday and will operate from 5pm - 6am, seven days a week. The order will run until February 13, 2008.
