Anti-slip modifier for tough PE film applications.

A new anti-slip modifier based on proprietary technology is said to increase the surface friction of extruded PE films, without affecting any other film properties. The special particles in PM13025 from Techmer PM, Clinton, Tenn., stay just on the film's surface and stay there permanently, according to v.p. of technology Ebrahim (Abe) Mor. As a result, the product can be used in films for very demanding applications such as bags for fertilizer, seed, salt, and mulch. PM13025 is also said to work well in coextruded films.

According to Mor, the technology offers considerable versatility. "We can tailor its effectiveness to suit the requirements of practically any application. We can change the size and/or amount of the anti-slip particles to achieve whatever our customer needs." Tel: 310-632-9211 * PT Direct: 581UR
