Anti-Virus products for Novell NetWare. (Security Products).

The Kaspersky Anti-Virus Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Russian: Антивирус Касперского; formerly known as AntiViral Toolkit Pro) is an antivirus program developed by Kaspersky Lab.  beta-version for Novell NetWare (operating system, networking) Novell NetWare - Novell, Inc.'s proprietary networking operating system for the IBM PC.

NetWare uses the IPX/SPX, NetBEUI or TCP/IP network protocols. It supports MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, OS/2, Macintosh and Unix clients.
is powered by a new Java-based management system. The program also contains a set of features that extend a user's ability for the centralized management of a network's anti-virus defence.

The main feature of the latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Novell NetWare is the integration into the Novell's management system -- ConsoleOne. Based on Java technology, ConsoleOne enables network engineers to perform centralized deployment and control over the anti-virus defense of all the NetWare servers installed in the network, regardless of the operating system operating system (OS)

and processor type installed. It also retains network control using NWAdrain. Among the program's other new features is support for the automatic downloading of anti-virus' database updates via the Internet. The updater is designed as an independent program module. This eliminates the necessity to reboot To reload the operating system, which restarts the computer. See boot.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus now downloads the updates from the Kaspersky Lab Kaspersky Lab is a computer security company, co-founded by Natalia Kaspersky and Eugene Kaspersky in 1997, offering antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and anti-intrusion products.  secured updates site once, and distributes the updates to other NetWare servers within the network u sing the internal connection. This feature reduces the external traffic and decreases Internet-connection expenses. The Anti-Virus program now supports multithreaded multithreaded - multithreading  virus scanning. This allows for an unlimited amount of files being scanned simultaneously in real-time, with the amount being limited only by the server's hardware configuration. The multithreaded virus scanning essentially increases the overall efficiency of the entire network by parallel processing the requests from many workstations at the same time.
