Anti-Defamation League to Honor Ambassador Rockwell A. Schnabel, Chairman of The Sage Group, with Humanitarian Award.

LOS ANGELES -- Ambassador Rockwell A. Schnabel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Sage Group and Founding Partner of Trident Capital, will be honored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as a Humanitarian Award Honoree for his work on behalf of the local and international community in promoting human relations and civil rights agencies, and also for combating anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry.

"We are honored to present this award to Ambassador Schnabel. He has stood up against anti-Semitism, fought against bigotry and sought justice for all - he sets the standard as a humanitarian in our community and world," said Amanda Susskind, Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League.

Rockwell Schnabel has a long history of government service, including serving as Deputy and acting Secretary of Commerce in the George H.W. Bush Administration. He was Ambassador to the European Union from 2001-2005 and served as Ambassador to Finland during the Reagan administration. Schnabel is one of the founders and an advisory director of the $1.5 billion venture capital fund, Trident Capital. He sits on the board of directors of the global electronics company Flextronics and was past president of the Bateman Eichler Group (now part of Wachovia Bank). Ambassador Schnabel is the co-author with Francis X. Rocca of The Next Superpower? The Rise of Europe and Its Challenge to the United States.
