As executive vice president, Mr. Zinni will be a member of the Office of the Chief Executive, along with President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. Herbert J. Lanese. Gen. Zinni's primary responsibilities will be for directing the company's energies in business development, business strategy, communications, and product branding.

Gen. Zinni retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in September 2000 after 39 years of service. During his military career, he served as the Commanding General of the First Marine Expeditionary Force The largest Marine air-ground task force (MAGTF) and the Marine Corps principal warfighting organization, particularly for larger crises or contingencies. It is task-organized around a permanent command element and normally contains one or more Marine divisions, Marine aircraft wings, and from 1994 to 1996, and as Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Central Command from 1997 to 2000.
