), will address executives attending the Investment in Innovation: A Preview of Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies conference in Dallas next month. The conference is organized by Medtech Insight and hosted by The Westin Copley Place in Boston, Mass., October 10-11.

During the past year, SBI acquired and has integrated four orthopedic implant companies and two licensed biotechnologies in creating a company focused on small bone and joint reconstruction and trauma from the fingers to the shoulder, and from the toes to below the knee joint.

SBI has created five business units: Arthroplasty, Internal Fixation, External Fixation, Tissue Technology, and International. For the most part, the brand names of the acquired companies, such as those of Avanta Orthopaedics, Inc.; Fixano, S.A.S.; Xtremi-T, LLC; and Envision Manufacturing, Inc., are now known as "SBI" products.

Mr.Viscogliosi says: "Our objective is to develop with surgeons those products that have the greatest impact on improving patient care.
