Anthony F. Oliva.

Anthony F. Oliva, DO, MMM, CPE, and a board-certified family practice physician, is chief medical officer at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. Oliva works closely with the hospital's senior leaders, board of directors and medical staff to help Holston Valley reach its goal of becoming the safest hospital in America for patients, employees and physicians. Oliva received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his internship at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis and his residency at Saginaw Cooperative Hospital in Saginaw, Mich. He also earned a master's degree in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Most recently, Oliva served as vice president of medical affairs for Bayhealth Medical Center, a 400-bed hospital system in Dover, Del. He previously worked as vice president of medical affairs at Olean General Hospital in Olean, N.Y.
