The BX-44 builds on Antex's popular Broadcaster(TM) series of digital audio adapters, which includes the widely used Broadcaster(TM) BX-12, considered by many an industry standard. The BX-44 is a new companion model to the BX-12 and features multi-track analog and digital inputs and outputs, MPEG Layer I/II decoding and SMPTE video synchronization.

With 20-bit A/D and D/A converters, four analog channels for both record and playback with MPEG Layer I/II compression, the Model BX-44 is clearly one of the most sophisticated and feature-rich sound cards on the market -- transforming an off-the-shelf Windows PC into a powerful multimedia engine. In addition to AES/EBU-S/PDIF stereo digital record/play capability, the BX-44 offers full video synchronization via an on-board hardware genlock feature and SMPTE read/write generator.

Professional-grade XLR connectors are available optionally as either a 12" cable set or through a passive, optionally available, 19-inch rack-mounted break-out box.
