Anteon awarded major contract to support U.S. navy shipboard maintenance programs.Anteon International Corporation (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :ANT), an information technology and systems engineering and integration company, announced recently that it was awarded a five-year contract by the Naval Shipbuilding Support Office to support Naval Sea Systems Command The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the U.S. Navy's five "systems commands," or materiel organizations. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, eight "warfare centers" (two undersea and six surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters, (NAVSEA NAVSEA Naval Sea Systems Command NAVSEA Naval Avionics Support Equipment Appraisal ) and Fleet sponsored maintenance programs. The ceiling on this ID/IQ ID/IQ Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity ID/IQ Indefinite Duration/Indefinite Quantity contract, if all options are exercised, is approximately $870 million. Under this contract, Anteon will provide engineering and technical services to support U.S. Navy maintenance and modernization programs involving shipboard equipment and systems on all classes of ships and watercraft.
