Anteon Awarded Contract to Support Naval Aviation Programs.

:ANT) announced today it has been awarded a task order by the Naval Air Systems Command The Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, is the part of the United States Navy which provides materiel support for naval aircraft and airborne weapon systems, such as guided missiles. NAVAIR was established in 1966 as the successor to the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons (BuWeps).  (NAVAIR NAVAIR Naval Air Systems Command ) to support U.S. Navy aviation training programs. The value of this 51-month task order, if all options are exercised is $16.7M. It was awarded under a previously announced, NAVAIR multiple award contract that has a ceiling of $460M.

Under this task order, Anteon will provide program management and technical engineering services in support of a number of U.S. Navy aircraft and related systems training programs. Such services include assessing user training requirements, conducting technical analyses to support improvements in flight simulators and maintenance trainers, and validating the Naval Aviation Naval aviation is the application of manned military air power by navies. Maritime aviation is the operation of aircraft in a maritime role under the command of land based forces such as RAF Coastal Command or United States Coast Guard.  Training Assessment Management System technical design and operations.
