Anteon Announces General Dynamics Extends Deadline to Close Acquisition.


FAIRFAX, Va. -- Anteon International Corporation (NYSE NYSE

:ANT) announced today that General Dynamics General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: GD) is a defense conglomerate formed by mergers and divestitures, and as of 2006 it is the sixth largest defense contractor in the world[1]. The company has changed markedly in the post-Cold War era of defense consolidation.  has extended the April 30, 2006 deadline for completing its proposed acquisition of Anteon to July 31, 2006, under the terms of an acquisition agreement that was announced on Dec. 14, 2005.

The company extended the deadline because the U.S. Department of Justice has not completed its review of the proposed transaction as authorized au·thor·ize
