Anteon Acquires Techmatics, Inc.


FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 1998--Anteon Corporation announced today the signing of a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Techmatics, Inc. Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia Fairfax is an independent city forming an enclave within the confines of Fairfax County, in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Although politically independent of the surrounding county, the City of Fairfax is nevertheless its county seatGR6. , Techmatics provides professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products.  to a broad and diverse base of government and commercial customers. The company has over 800 employees and estimates fiscal 1998 revenue at $70 million dollars. With the acquisition, which is expected to be completed at the end of this month, Anteon will have more than 2,300 employees and an estimated annual revenue of over $270 million.

Founded in 1982, Techmatics, with a compound annual revenue growth rate of approximately 20% over the last decade, has been cited as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the federal services industry.
