The new product series includes a wireless network interface based on the 11Mbps IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields. 802.11b wireless networking See wireless network.  standard for ease of connection to a corporate network. The systems come equipped with either Intel Pentium or Celeron processors. A fully integrated H.323 compliant voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony client is also standard, enabling toll-quality telephone conversations over local- and wide-area data networks.

The WaveCONNECT(TM) system provides powerful business computing features with wireless network connectivity right out of the box, allowing entire workgroups to be up and running in minutes, as compared to days or even weeks for some computers connected via traditional wired data networks. The cost of deploying a WaveCONNECT(TM) system is also considerably lower than for wired computer networks.
