Ansaldo Fuel Cells, a Finmeccanica Company, Presents for First Time in U.S Innovative Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology.


Ansaldo Ansaldo is an Italian surname, and can refer to:
  • Giovanni Andrea Ansaldo, a painter from Genoa;
  • Gio. Ansaldo & C., a company who owned (among others), the Ansaldo shipyards in Genoa and Naples, and was taken over in 1993 by the Finmeccanica group.

WHAT:   Finmeccanica Inc., a leading high-tech defense and aerospace

          presentation will highlight the advanced, patented Molten
          Carbonate Fuel Cell (MCFC) stack's ability to harness the
          power of Hydrogen. The MCFC can use any kind of hydrogen and
          carbon monoxide based fuel including ethanol, diesel,
          natural gas and pure hydrogen, and because of its innovative
          design the technology can easily switch between fuels. There
          are presently three Hydrogen power plants using this
          technology in operation.

          helicopters, aerostructures, satellites, space
          infrastructure, missiles and defense electronics.  Ansaldo
          Fuel Cells is a global leader in fuel cell technology.  Its
          manufacturing capabilities are based in Italy.  Other
          Finmeccanica companies include AgustaWestland, the maker of
          the Marine One Presidential Helicopter, and Alenia North
          America, a leading contender in the US Military's Joint
          Cargo Aircraft program, a $6 billion dollar contract for
          intratheater aircraft. Finmeccanica's President Dr. Stephen
          Bryen will be in attendance.
