Time Manager is licensing Anoto's digital paper standard that consists of a black-ink grid that is near invisible to the eye and that can be printed on virtually any surface. TMI will print its customized content and design over the grid, without disturbing the traditional printing process. When updating your Time Manager planner, you can instantaneously digitize that content, transmit it to an electronic device and use it to update you electronic planner.

Anoto intends to work closely in developing applications for this technology with electronics manufacturers, wireless network operators and paper publishers with the goal of developing a worldwide standard for the wireless transmission of paper-based communications.

Anoto is striving to set a global standard in the digital rendering and wireless transmission of the handwritten word and is licensing its technology on a non-exclusive basis.

In addition to its ePaper, Anoto is also licensing a pen-based technology that is composed of four basic components: ink (which enables you to see what you write), a camera (which takes pictures of the special pattern), an image processor (which pin points your position using the picture of the pattern) and a Bluetooth component (which transmits the information to the designated recipient via a cell phone or PC).

Anoto is also building the world's largest web server to be used as a Gateway to sort the information sent from the pen. It will then establish what to do with the information and where to send it - thus working like your local post office, only much faster.
