Another award for the popular drum group Northern Cree.

The Northern Cree Singers not only gave a brilliant performance during the 10th annual Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards (CAMA), but they also picked up an award for their album Red Rock. The Hobbema group beat out Black Bear of Manawan, QC and Northern Wind of Lake of the Woods, ON in the Best Pow Wow Contemporary category. The CAMA's was just one of the many highlights (the pow wow being the main highlight) taking place during the Canadian Aboriginal Festival from Nov. 28-30 in Toronto.
