Another Technology MatchMaker partner gets hitched! Newly formed Panorama Software Corp. acquires Legent/ CA's Information Integrity Division.

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 1995--Technology MarketForce Inc. Thursday announced the successful acquisition by its client, Panorama Software Corp. of Woodland Hills, Calif., of the former Legent Information Integrity Division (IID), from Computer Associates (CA).

The Technology MarketForce (TMF) Technology MatchMaker Program is specifically geared to creating winning strategic alliance, merger and acquisition opportunities for companies in and serving the information technology industry.

It features focused research, an industry contact base comprising several thousand senior executives, very specific prospect targeting and creative, market-driven deal structuring.

This acquisition was already the subject of a letter of intent prior to the recent acquisition of all of Legent Corp. by CA.

Substantial financing has been provided by leading venture capital firm, Weiss, Peck & Greer Venture Partners.

Panorama's founder and Chief Executive Officer, Edward M. Current IID Vice President and General Manager Martin Hewett will become president of Panorama. Jerry Hill, Garry Stenzel and Bill Tulloss will become vice presidents of Panorama, maintaining their current respective responsibilities for heading up R&D, sales and marketing.

Comfoltey is the former co-founder and president of Basic Software Group, creators of the renowned ACC-PAC accounting software, which ironically was acquired by Computer Associates in 1985.

Comfoltey served in a number of senior management positions at Computer Associates, including president of the Micro Products Division. He left in 1991 to pursue management of his own investments. Hewett has been with Legent since 1989. He was previously a vice president at Essential Software, which was acquired by Goal Systems in 1990, which was then acquired by Legent in 1992.
