: FOR) Corporation announces another raw gold discovery, the T2 zone, 4 km Northwest of the recent T1 discovery (Press Release October 12, 1995) in central French Guiana French Guiana (gēăn`ə, –än`–), Fr. La Guyane française, officially Department of Guiana, French overseas department (2005 est. pop. .

This discovery located on the South-East contour of the Sophie potassic granitoid batholith batholith, enormous mass of intrusive igneous rock, that is, rock made of once-molten material that has solidified below the earth's surface (see rock). Batholiths usually are granitic (see granite) in composition, have steeply inclined walls, have no visible floors,  is again the result of structural interpretation of radar images and the Corporation's own airborne geophysics. This adds to the numerous gold occurrences that lie in that sector. More data will be required before the extent of the mineralization Mineralization

at surface can be delineated. However, results from the sampling to date nevertheless show that there is a major gold system present within an area of 1.5 km in length and this warrants further investigation. Additional geochemical results are expected by the third week of November and will provide a large enough sample population to more accurately describe the discovery zone.

Preliminary results from within and around the T2 discovery zone indicate both stockwork and vein-controlled gold mineralization. Random rock-chip samples analyzed to date have provided values as high as 778.47 grams per ton of gold. Significantly, the higher grade samples contained up to 20 percent pyrite pyrite (pī`rīt) or iron pyrites (pīrī`tēz, pə–, pī`rīts), pale brass-yellow mineral, the bisulfide of iron, FeS2.  and display little or no oxidation.

The 35 km line-cutting program on the potassic-rich regional batholith has been completed. Systematic sampling on those lines, together with selective sampling of known mineralized min·er·al·ize

areas, namely Dagobert, Salomon and GU19D is in progress. Additional surface sampling and geologic mapping on T1 and T2 is also advancing. Initial work on yet another structural target, T3, has just begun.

On-going work includes trenching and further sampling to better understand the newly discovered mineralized zones in order to select the best areas to be diamond drilled. Management feels that these new discoveries are adding substantially to the resource base.
