Another Communications Award for the CPA Vision Project.


Coming on the heels of several other awards conferred by prestigious national organizations, the CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  Vision Project now has won first place in the 2000 Gold Circle Awards Competition from the American Society of Association Executives The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is a non-profit professional organization for executive directors and executive vice presidents of professional societies both in the United States and abroad. . This award is presented by the Communication Section of the association, which has recognized excellence in nonprofit A corporation or an association that conducts business for the benefit of the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.

Nonprofits are also called not-for-profit corporations. Nonprofit corporations are created according to state law.

The Vision Project was recognized for its compelling communications plan and its success in meeting the plan's stated objectives. The award reflects the success of the entire Vision communications Vision Communications is the name of two unrelated broadcasting companies: .
  • A locally-based company in Springfield, Missouri, which owns several businesses, most notably radio stations 99 Hit FM and 1340 AM KADI.

In addition, a Certificate of Achievement was awarded to a video on the profession's Internet portal that was shown at the spring 2000 Council meeting. This certificate is the second highest honor in the awards competition.
