Annual food and wine tasting event raises cash for culinary arts program.


The 9th annual Careers through Culinary Arts Program's (C-CAP C-CAP Coast Watch Change Analysis Program (US NOAA) ) tasting event raised $675,000 for the charitable organization that provides food-service career opportunities for underserved youth.

C-CAP manages the largest independent culinary scholarship program in the United States, awarding over $2,000,000 annually.

The event was held at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. Thirty seven of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 City's top-rated restaurants presented savories and sweets to nearly 800 guests. Kobrand Foundation donated some of the most prestigious wines from the finest producers around the world.

The event showcased the talent of C-CAP Graduate Chefs--Rachel Lansang, executive pastry chef at Aureole aureole, in physics

 high school students and C-CAP Graduates assisted the chefs at the event.

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), established in 1990 by Richard Grausman, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, that works with public schools across the nation to prepare students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry. All proceeds from The Benefit tasting event and auctions support C-CAP's programs and services.
