About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or impaired vision. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment give hope to those affected by the disease.

About The National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. The Northern California Chapter represents more than 12,000 people with MS in Northern California.
