Annual CFHLA Blood Drive keeps Floridians, visitors safe.The Central Florida
Central Florida is the central region of the United States state of Florida, on the East Coast. Hotel and Lodging Lodging or holiday accommodation is a type of accommodation. People who travel and stay away from home for more than a day need lodging mainly for sleeping. Other purposes are safety, shelter from cold and rain, having a place to store luggage and being able to take a Association, Orlando, has played a key role in promoting community safety for more than 15 years. Summertime in central Florida poses special challenges for the area's blood supply because of increased tourism and the departure of regular donors to cooler climates. So CFHLA CFHLA Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association stepped up to the plate. Every year from June through September, CFHLA sponsors its "Hospitality Challenge" Blood Drive at participating area hotels, generating between 6,500 and 7,500 pints of blood, which makes the association the number one source of blood in the region. Bloodmobiles from Florida's Blood Centers collect donations from guests and hotel employees at participating hotels.
