Annual Building Brooklyn Awards invite entries.The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2005 Building Brooklyn Awards, an annual event that recognizes recently completed construction projects that have had a positive impact on the borough's economy and quality of life. "Building Brooklyn Awards enable the Brooklyn Chamber to shine a spotlight on a diverse and exciting selection of projects that represent the incredible amount of new investment in our borough," said Kenneth Adams, President of the Brooklyn Chamber. This year the Brooklyn Chamber is accepting nominations in 14 categories: education, public works public works pl.n. Construction projects, such as highways or dams, financed by public funds and constructed by a government for the benefit or use of the general public. Noun 1. , community facility, arts and culture, religious facility, industrial, office building, office interior, retail building, retail storefront, residentialsingle family, residential-medium density, residential-multi-family, and residential-affordable housing. Eligible projects should have received a Certificate of Occupancy A document issued by a local building or Zoning authority to the owner of premises attesting that the premises have been built and maintained according to the provisions of building or zoning ordinances, such as those that govern the number of fire exits or the safety of prior to December 31, 2004. Projects that were nominated last year and did not win an award may be re-submitted for consideration.
