to Aggressively Target and Serve the Electric Energy Industry Offering Expertise on Timely Energy Regulatory Compliance Issues

O'Shea Energy Services, a professional consultancy and service firm focusing in the Electric Energy Industry and specializing in highly secure real-time solutions, today announced its official launch. With federal energy compliance mandates (such as Sarbanes-Oxley, NERC NERC - National Ecology Research Center
NERC - National Environment Research Council
NERC - National Environmental Research Center
NERC - Natural Environment Research Council (UK)
NERC - North American Electric Reliability Council (Princeton, New Jersey)
NERC - Northeast Recycling Council
NERC - Northeast Region Chief (Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America)
1200/1300, and the Patriot Act) looming large, OES will be assisting corporations involved in the production and distribution of energy - a highly regulated and competitive market. Under the tutelage of founder John J. O'Shea, the company hopes to educate companies on how to quickly and cost-effectively ensure that they fully comply with the latest federal regulations, while at the same time improving network efficiency, security and system uptime. By so doing, OES will help companies avoid the costly penalties associated with lack of compliance while improving their reliability and bottom line.

With 30-plus years of industry experience and coming off an extremely successful 11-year tenure of leadership expertise with a worldwide leader in the Electric Energy Sector, O'Shea brings his full arsenal of global relationships and knowledge to this new venture. O'Shea and his OES colleagues will be in a unique position to offer companies counsel and assistance as they navigate the complicated rules of post-9/11 federal security requirements.

"Electric utilities and energy companies have been downsizing and right sizing for the last two decades and are now being asked to do more than ever to comply with NERC 1200/1300, Sarbanes-Oxley, the Patriot Act - to name just a few of the new and ever-evolving requirements," explained O'Shea, founder of OES. "Companies are finding that they do not have the staff, and in some cases the technical expertise, necessary to perform the daily operational tasks, let alone ensure compliance with these new regulations required to conduct business. The days of the proprietary real-time operation systems - operating in secure silos - is gone. Companies must now employ state-of-the-art technologies in order to stay both secure and competitive in the ever-changing utility/energy landscape and real-time systems need to be an integral part of the IT Enterprise. At OES, we will be in a unique position to provide a full range of services from consulting, application development, evaluation and integration of products, to turn-key support; this will secure and improve our clients' EMS/SCADA SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
SCADA - South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association
/DMS/OMS/MOS systems. We will do this while meeting the requirements dictated by industry and government entities and while offering real-time performance and availability enhancements to the existing systems with a focus on quality and first-class customer service."
