The theme of this year's conference is "Engineering Green." AMERICAN FORESTS' director of urban forestry, Cheryl Kollin says, "Engineering cities into existing natural systems is not a new idea, but it's one that is not widely practiced. Trees are the lungs, water filters, and air conditioners of our cities."
