Announcing IVT's 13th Annual International Validation Week.

ISELIN, N.J. -- The Institute of Validation Technology, a division of Advanstar Communications, has announced its 13TH Annual International Validation Week - the industry's best attended event on validation topics. Validation Week (www.validationweek.com) will take place in Philadelphia, PA from October 23-25, 2007 and will feature more than 30 presentations from industry leaders, including Wyeth Biotech, Hospira Inc., Merck, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Novartis, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Schering-Plough Corporation.

The conference will also feature an FDA keynote address on the Risk-Based Inspection Model, presented by Karyn M. Campbell, Assistant Director, Investigations Branch, US Food and Drug Administration, Philadelphia District Office.

This year's Validation Week has more of an international focus and features a brand new intermediate to advanced validation track. Validation Basics from A to Z that will be covered include Process Validation, Computer Validation, Validation Mastering Planning, Developing Acceptance Criteria, Facility Qualification, FDA and Global Regulations, Cleaning Validation, and Process FMEA.

The yearly Validation Week Attendee Appreciation and Awards Dinner will be held in memory of Kenneth G. Chapman, and it will be hosted by William Hall, Ph.D.
