It originates from Cork in the Republic of Ireland. Most O'Driscolls and Driscolls live in Ireland, with many more living in the United States, Canada and Australia.  as Senior Vice President for Information Technology.

Driscoll, formerly Vice President, Systems Integration, Technology and Architecture for CIGNA CIGNA CG (Connecticut General Life Insurance Company) INA (Insurance Company of North America)  Healthcare Corp., will be responsible for providing NWB's growing client list of managed care organizations and technology vendors with consulting resources and software solutions.

NWB provides MCOs the expertise to evaluate, select and implement information systems, and works with vendors to ensure that product development strategies meet market needs and facilitate enhanced reporting of outcomes and quality data.

"As managed health care continues to reshape itself to meet employer and consumer demands, we recognized a need for someone who could help clients assess their existing systems and make smooth transitions into new technologies," said NWB President MaryAnn Galloway Galloway, district, Dumfries and Galloway, SW Scotland. The Rhinns, or Rinns, of Galloway is a rocky double peninsula that juts into the North Channel of the Irish Sea; its southern extremity is called the Mull of Galloway and is the southernmost point in Scotland. .

When CIGNA acquired Healthsource in 1997, Driscoll, then with Healthsource, headed up the IS integration work necessary to bring the company's award-winning IS solutions into the CIGNA portfolio.

"Systems integration is one of the biggest challenges facing the industry," said Driscoll. "It's more than a matter of ensuring data and technological compatibility within an organization as it merges with another, it's working efficiently and effectively with outside systems, like those encountered in a delegated arrangement or, as with Medicare, with government systems like HCFA HCFA
