Annette Smith, Treasury Official, Joins PricewaterhouseCoopers as Partner.

Annette Smith, who has served in the Department of the Treasury for the past five years, has joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Partner in the firm's Washington National Tax Services practice. She will be located in the professional services firm's Washington, DC office.

Smith was most recently Deputy to the Tax Legislative Counsel in the Treasury Department's Office of Tax Policy. In that capacity, she served as a liaison to the Congressional tax writing committees, governmental departments and agencies, industry groups, and professional organizations on matters pertaining to the development, analysis, and implementation of domestic tax policy through legislative initiatives, regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, and other types of published guidance.

Prior to joining the Treasury Department, Smith was with the professional services firm of Coopers & Lybrand for ten years.

Smith earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (accounting) and Master of Science in Business Administration (taxation) from the University of Cincinnati.
