She was formerly a commercial mortgage broker for Haves, Pine & Seligman where she arranged financing for a wide variety of properties including underlying co-op and multifamily rental apartment buildings, office buildings, private residences and construction loans in the tri-state area. Teshima, a protege of Eugene A. Hegy, Jr., worked at Brown, Harris, Stevens with him as an appraiser A person selected or appointed by a competent authority or an interested party to evaluate the financial worth of property.
