Anne L (D'Errico) Saucier.

WORCESTER Anne (D'Errico) Saucier, 87, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Wednesday December 21, 2011 in St. Camillus Nursing Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Her husband of 38 years, Albert H. "Babe" Saucier passed away in 1987. Anne is survived by her two devoted sons, Michael Saucier and his wife Marilyn of Worcester, Stephen Saucier and his wife Karen of Cumberland, RI; her four cherished grandchildren, Samantha and Julie Saucier of Worcester, Eve Saucier and husband Ian Eder of Columbus, GA, and Nicholas Saucier of Cumberland, RI; a great-grandson Anthony; her brother, Carmen D'Errico of Worcester; two sisters, Eleanore Dell'Olio and Josephine Notorangelo both of Shrewsbury; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Three brothers, Julio, Louis and Thomas D'Errico and a sister, Angela Evangelista all predeceased her.

Anne was born in Worcester, a daughter of Peter and Lucia (D'Errico) D'Errico. She graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. Anne then enjoyed a successful career as a registered nurse. She worked for many years for Worcester at City Hospital as well as in private duty and in several physician offices most notably for, Dr. Robert Hammond in Worcester.

Anne was a devoted, active member of St. Margaret Mary Church prior to its closing. President of its Women's Guild and Senior Social Club. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and most recently was a parishioner at St. Anne Church in Shrewsbury.

Anne's funeral will be held Friday, December 23rd from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 am in St. Anne's Church, 170 Boston Turnpike Rd, Shrewsbury. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Friday prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St Worcester, 01604 or visit cancer.org. The Saucier family would like to thank the staff at St Camillus Healthcare center for the care, compassion and understanding they gave to Anne during a difficult time.
