Anna P. (Kapertosh) Walsh, 97.


WORCESTER Anna P. (Kapertosh) Walsh, 97, formerly of Varney St., died Friday, July 13, 2007, in University Commons, after a brief illness. Her husband of 60 years, Walter P. Walsh, died August 16, 1989. She leaves a son David W. Walsh and his wife Gail of Webster; 3 daughters, Mary T. Gustafson and her longtime companion Bernard McGough of Millbury, Dorothy A. Dalton and her fiancee Luigi Frate of Stuart Fla., Julie E. Giordano and her husband Anthony of Worcester; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Riga, Lithuania, daughter of the late Stanley and Martha Kapertosh. She came to the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  when she was 5 years old.

Anna worked many years as a waitress at the former Putnam and Thurston's Restaurant, the Eden Gardens Eden Gardens situated in Kolkata is the oldest cricket ground in India and is also considered one of the finest in the world. The present Eden Gardens Cricket Club came in existence some time in the year 1864. It has been called the Lord's of Asia.  Restaurant, and the Worcester Club.
